My friend has fibromyalagia and before they tried a dozen prescriptions before she realized her best treatment is smoking marijuana combined with a a narcotic that her doctor prescribes, but she only takes half of the dosage because if she takes it all, she feels it interferes with her daily activities. Without the narcotic she has to smoke marijuana more often. But with a moderate use of both, she feels great and works full time and is a single mom. :)

I had it for 3 yrs, I wanted to die. I was healed 7 years ago after an encounter with God. I was ready to check out and take my life if He didn't answer. I don't know how I had the strength, I didn't. All the sudden I knew what I had to do. Toxins are so deep inside the body, toxins from stress, medicine and things we eat and drink. I did a major fast and drank water and sweated them out. Took about 30 days. Ate raw food, cut and soft drinks No caffeine, no sugar. Medicine can't cure this.

To test the afformentioned theory I stopped 3 weeks ago because someone else brought that up, and actually, I'm starting to improve. It seems like my chiro. adjustments hold longer than before along with the Acupuncture. I still sympathinze with med. marijuana users, just in my case, it didn't really make any noticeable differences using it.

bet it would get worse if you stopped

@NinjaRua I think the strain makes a difference for different things. Sometimes Cannabis Sativa is better and sometimes Cannabis Indica is better. I don't know personally, but maybe you could find out since you already smoke it.

Wow! OUr stories sound a lot alike. I was on disability for 6 years because my Fibro was so bad. Very few Dr.s understood (had one tell me that I just wanted drugs! A well known Dr. was going to put me on Oxy's back in 2001; I told him I'd rather try medical MJ. So it worked out for me. One thing I will say is it DOES depend on what you get! I hadn't had a bad flair up in years and had one this year Indica was BAD NEWS for me. Some my try Sativa. I can't find the original stuff I had.

Without acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, stretching/exercise and just pot alone it was getting progressively worse. The pot didn't do anything for the pain or anything to slow it's progress, it just helped put me to sleep.

Do yourself a favor and don't mention to your doctor that you found out about this on the internet. Just tell him/her that you want to be tested. We were shut out by a Doctor at the hospital because of our research on the Internet. Until I had some nasty words with him that is.

Have you ever experienced what the pain would be like without smoking pot everyday? Perhaps it would be a lot worse.

Ive had fibromyalgia for 5 years, Ive smoked Marijuana just about every day for 12 years (even before I had it). It didn't prevent it, or make my pain any better. I have found a combination of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage therapy, Stretching and exercise to be more helpful. Needless to say I still smoke pot reguardless.
